She is a pure original old schooll pitbull, so she not enormous. She's very trim, and lean. And so beautiful! When people see her at dog parks they say how beautiful she is. Most dont realize she's a pit. Then as soon as I say a Pit Bull, they gather their children and dogs and get to the other side of the park. Its like having a child, that has a great spirit and heart, and everyone blacklisting her, just because of something they heard. I have two small children, a 2 year old and a 10 month old, and people ask, if i'm gonna get rid of the dog, now that I have kids...because "You know, those dogs turn on their owners." How obsurd! I appreciate the time you've taken to educate people on the breed. My husband breeds them, and we now have 7 (six of them outdoors of course) and Tahrah lives with us inside. Honestly I was surprised to see your name associated with dogfighting propaganda. As an owner of rescued pitbulls and advocate against dogfighting i found your declaration of so called love for the breed ironic. Allowing your essay to to published in a book glorifying the culture that actively participates in animal cruelty at its highest is truly shameful. Perhaps you should use your gift with words to speak against this act instead of glorifying it and dog men like Floyd Boudreaux who deserve time behind bars.
